What you need:
thread strung on
cardboard,
flexifastener,
wool,
comb
String wool or warp threads onto a sheet of cardboard.
Threads strung onto cardboard are called
warp.
Wind wool around the plastic stripe with holes of a flexifastener (or plastic folder). This is the
shuttle.
Start weaving at one side. The end of the thread remains at the side. Pass the flexifastener with the wool through the warp, going over the first warp thread, under the second warp thread, over the third one, and so on.
When you have arrived at the other side, wind the thread around the outer warp thread and weave back. This time go over all warp threads that you have gone under in the last row, and go under all warp threads that you have gone over in the last
row.
When you have ended the side, you need the comb. Press the comb against the threads so that they get close to each
other.
Be careful not to pull the thread too tight around the outer warp threads. Otherwise your woven item will narrow in the
middle.
Keep weaving in the way described above until your woven item is long enough. Then remove or cut the warp threads from the tabs and knot or stick them together, or sew them up.
