What you need:
cardboard (e.g. back of drawing pad),
wool,
scissors,
hole punch,
flexifastener
Cut several notches into the upper and lower edge of the cardboard sheet. The number of notches depends on the size of the piece you want to weave.
The gaps between the notches should be about 0.2in (0.5cm) to 0.4in (1cm).
Punch a hole into the cardboard just below the upper edge.
Tie the thread to this hole.
Then insert the thread into the first notch of the upper edge. Pull the thread to the lower edge along the front and insert it into the first notch of the lower edge.
Wrap the thread around the tab on the back of the cardboard and pull the thread through the second notch to the front again. Then put the thread to the top again and insert it into the second notch. Wrap the thread around the tab at the back again, insert the thread into the third notch, and pull the thread to the lower edge along the front.
Keep going until the whole sheet of cardboard is strung with thread.
Punch a hole into the cardboard again,
and tie the end of the thread to this hole.
Your loom is ready!
Instead of cutting notches into the upper and lower edge of the sheet, you can also punch holes along the edges and pull the thread through these holes.
You can use the plastic stripe with holes of a flexifastener as shuttle.
