Christmas tree

Deutsch

What you need:

24 empty toilet rolls,

glue,

newspapers,

paste,

green covering paint,

brush,

cardboard box (at least 8" x 8" x 4" or larger),

coloured aluminium foil (crafting foil),

scissors,

adhesive tape,

coloured metal stars,

cotton wool,

curling ribbon,

wrapping paper,

construction paper,

pens,

optionally small Christmas tree balls or other

Put the toilet rolls together into the shape of a Christmas tree.

One roll at the top, two rolls beneath, then three rolls beneath,

four rolls, five rolls, six rolls, then one roll in the middle and finally two rolls.

Stick the rolls together with a lot of adhesive tape.
Do not cover the openings.
For more stability, you can also staple the rolls together.

Mix the paste. Pour half a table spoon of paste powder into half a litre of water.
Tear the newspapers into little stripes.
Dip the stripes into the paste and apply them onto the Christmas tree.

Connect the rolls with each other, but leave the openings free.

Let the paste dry for about one or two days.
Paint the Christmas tree with green covering paint.

Let the paint dry.
Stick coloured aluminium foil around the cardboard box.

Stick or staple the Christmas tree to the cardboard box. Use a strong glue. You can also fasten the tree to the box with rivets or sample bag clips.

Thus, the tree won't fall down if someone bumps into it.

Cover the back of the tree with cotton wool by inserting a piece of cotton wool into each roll. Stick cotton wool to the sides of the tree too.

Glue metal stars onto tree and box as well.

Write the number from one to 24 onto 24 stars. Using a needle, pull a piece of thread through each star. Wrap pieces of wrapping paper around 24 presents. 21 of them should fit into the toilet rolls, three may be larger.

Hang a number onto each present. Insert 21 presents into the rolls. Start at the top. Put or stick the other three presents next or in front of the Christmas tree.
If you like, you can decorate the tree further.
