8000 eight thousand
9000 nine thousand

Zahlen über 1000
Die Zahlen zwischen 1001 und 1099 werden mit "and" an die 1000 gehängt:
1001 a / one thousand and one
1002 a / one thousand and two
1003 a / one thousand and three
1010 a / one thousand and ten
1020 a / one thousand and twenty
1021 a / one thousand and twenty-one
1099 a / one thousand and ninety-nine
Bei den Zahlen zwischen 1100 und 1999 wird "one thousand" gesagt, "a thousand" ist in diesem Zahlenbereich nicht üblich.
Folgt auf den Tausender eine Hunderterzahl, wird diese ohne "and" genannt. 100 in einem Tausender ist immer "one hundred", niemals "a hundred".

Zur besseren Lesbarkeit großer Zahlen setzt man im Englischen nach jeder dritten Ziffer (von rechts) ein Komma (im Dt. Punkt!).
Auch die großen Zahlen werden vom Prinzip her genauso gebildet wie die kleineren Zahlen:

Die Million heißt im Englischen "million". Es wird kein Plural gebildet.

Am Prinzip des Aufbaus der Zahlen ändert sich nichts.

Die "Milliarde" ist im Englischen "billion". Im britischen Englisch sagt man aber auch "thousand million".
