What you need:
warped beginner's weaving loom,
wool
Weaving horizontal stripes is really easy.
Start as usual and weave - as described here - with one colour.
If you want to change the colour, cut off the thread after the last row at the side leaving a piece of thread hang out. Wind thread in a different colour onto the shuttle. Start weaving as if you didn't change the
thread.
Turn the middle part and start at the side where the old thread ended. Let a piece of the new thread hang out too. Either you tie these pieces together later or you sew them up.
Keep weaving until you want to change the colour again.
Change the colour in the way described above.
Tip: If you want to weave small stripes, you can also use two shuttles alternately without cutting off the thread each time.
