What you need:
square sheet of paper
Fold the paper diagonally and unfold it again.
Fold the corners that are right and left of the fold to the centre line.
The edges need to be aligned with the centre line.
You will end up with a kite
shape.
Fold the paper along the centre line.
Fold the long edge of the open side to the centre line.
Turn the paper over and repeat the last step on the other side.
Turn the paper over again and turn it around 90°.
Roughly in the middle, fold the more acutely pointed end up.
Unfold the paper again. At the fold, open the paper from below.
Bring the back side of the fold to the outside.
 
Fold the top point to the side.
Unfold the paper again and bring the fold to the outside.
Repeat the same steps nearer to the point again to create the beak.
 
At the other end of the figure, fold the corner one time
and then again so that a small rump shows
upwards.
 
Your swan is finished.
