What you need:
rectangular sheet of paper
Put the paper in front of you so that one of the short sides shows towards you.
Fold the paper in half.
Fold the paper in half again (as you would do with a letter).
Open the last fold. The first folded crease remains and shows towards you.
Take the right bottom corner and fold it to the centre line.
Do the same with the left bottom corner.
Turn the paper around 180° and fold the excess paper at the bottom up.
Use only the upper
layer.
 
Fold down the corners on the left and on the right.
Turn the paper over.
Again fold the excess paper at the bottom up.
 
Fold down the corners on the left and on the right, too.
 
Open the hat a little. Your hat is finished.
If you want to stabilize the hat, you can stick tape to the corners.
