What you need:
thick rainbow transparent paper,
glue,
large cheese box,
wire
Cut a stripe out of the transparent paper that is a little broader than the circumference of the cheese box.
You can choose the height yourself.
Separate the cheese box in half.
Glue the transparent paper around the cheese box.
One part of the cheese box is applied at the upper edge,
one at the lower edge.
Glue the transparent paper together along the short edges, too.
Stick a piece of wire to the upper rim of the lantern
so that you can apply a lantern stick.
Either you operate the lantern with an electrical lantern stick or you stick a holder for a lantern candle to the bottom of the
lantern.
