What you need:
Ribbon
(e.g. curling ribbon, raffia ribbon, ...) in one or two colours
Cut two strings of ribbon that are of about 2 yd length each.
Cross the two strings in the middle and place them in the middle of your palm.
Fix the crossing of the two strings with your thumb.
Now put the string from the lower left between the upper two. You can clamp it between your fingers behind your hand.
Then put the string from the upper left to the right.
Afterwards put the string from the upper right down.
Finally, take the string from the lower right, put it above one string and pull it below the left
string.
Now remove your thumb carefully and pull the strings tight. This works best if you pull the strings
diagonally.
Keep repeating this knot until your bracelet is long enough to fit around the
wrist.
