What you need:
three fir cones (or other, two larger and one smaller one),
glue,
secateurs,
toothpicks,
string,
optionally feathers
Cut the single scales out one of the larger fir cones
with a good pair of
secateurs.
Put the other two fir cones together at their lower ends,
not centred, but slightly shifted.
The small fir cone is the head of the bird,
the larger one the
body.
Put two toothpicks into the lower side of the larger fir cone
and fix them with some glue. These are the
legs.
Glue two scales to the toothpicks as feet.
Now the bird is nearly finished.
You can apply eyes or feathers, too.
Tie a piece of string to the bird for hanging.
