What you need:
wooden or cardboard tray,
paint,
brush,
small wood plugs,
pencil,
ruler,
two dice
Measure out a backgammon board on the tray.
You need twelve triangles on each long side of the tray.
Draw the backgammon board onto the tray with a pencil and colour it.
You can for example use poster
paint.
Paint the triangles black and white alternately.
The colour of the rest of the tray is up to your
choice.
Let the paint dry. You might want to apply a layer of clear coat too.
You need 30 wood plugs. Paint 15 of them black, the other 15 white.
These are the counters.
Let everything dry. All you need now are two dice.
Now you can start
playing.
Tip:
If you like, you can also use different colours for the triangles,
e.g. red/yellow or blue/green.
