What you need:
card stock or coloured paper,
pattern,
scissors
Print the
pattern.
Fold a sheet of paper in half.
Put the pattern onto the sheet
so that the straight edge is over the crease.
Cut out the outline.
Cut the paper along the marked lines as well.
Thus, there are kind of "loops".
Cut out the same pattern in another colour.
Now interweave both parts with each other.
Put the first loop (red) through (not over or under) the first pink loop.
Then put the second pink loop through the red one, afterwards the red one again through another pink one and so on.
When the first red loop is completely interwoven,
put it towards the top and continue with the second
loop.
Put the second red loop through and around the pink ones again.
But this time pull the red loop through the pink ones
that you did not take for the first row.
Finish the whole heart in the same way.
You can glue another stripe of paper into the bag as handle.
Tip: It works best, if the stripes are exactly cut. It is also easier with thin paper.
If it's too hard for you, try an easier one first:
Heart bag
(easy)
Notice: This pattern was also published in the German magazine "Laura wohnen kreativ" as part of an insert called "50 ideas for Advent" (November 2007).
