Picture wind chime

Deutsch

What you need:

one canvas (4 in x 4 in),

napkin with a small motif,

glue for napkin technique,

brush,

optionally paint,

string,

six small bar chimes (about 1.6 in),

needle with large eye

If the motif on the napkin is very small,...

... paint the canvas in the colour of your choice.
Let the paint dry.
Cut the motif out of the napkin.

Separate the layers of the napkin.

You only need the uppermost layer on which the motif is printed.

Place the motif on the canvas. Carefully apply glue for napkin technique.

Always start in the middle and move towards the edges.

Let everything dry.

Tie each bar chime...

...to a piece of string.

Turn the canvas over and make six small holes into the lower edge.
Make one more hole into each upper corner.
Turn the canvas over again.

Take one bar chime and pull both ends

of the string through the eye of the needle.

Pull the needle through one hole of the canvas and knot the ends at the back.

If the knot is not large enough, you can also tie a bead

or a small wooden piece to the knot.

When all bar chimes are applied,

pull a piece of string through the holes in the upper corners for hanging.
