What you need:
two transparent plastic sheets
(e.g. lantern sheets, crea-pop foil or laminating film)
with holes along two sides,
wire
netting,
fairy lights,
beige, orange, and yellow paint,
raffia,
brush,
glue for napkin technique,
napkin with butterfly motif
Paint the plastic sheets.
Do not apply the colours too evenly.
Let the paint
dry.
You can also cut a pattern into the edges of plastic sheets with the help of decorative
scissors.
Open the napkin and cut out the quarter with the butterfly motif.
Separate the layers of the napkin.
You only need the uppermost layer on which the motif is
printed.
Place the motif on the sheet. Use the side that you have not painted.
Carefully apply glue for napkin technique.
Begin in the middle and brush towards the edges so that the motif does not crease.
You can also sprinkle glitter into the glue before it is
dry.
Let the glue dry.
Tie the fairy lights to a piece of wire netting.
When the plastic sheets are dry, place the wire netting with the fairy lights between the two sheets. Pull raffia (or curling ribbon) through the holes at the sides and through the wire netting as well. Thus, the lamp gets a rounded
shape.
When you have knotted both sides of the plastic sheets in that way, that's it!
