What you need:
24 empty toilet rolls,
aluminium foil in four colours (crafting foil),
cotton wool,
curling ribbon,
hole punch,
scissors,
gloss marker pen or gel pen,
wooden stick
Wrap aluminium foil around each toilet roll.
Cut out a piece of aluminium foil that is a little longer than a roll.
Wrap it around the roll and put the edges into the roll.
Thus, you can apply the foil without using
glue.
You need six rolls of each colour.
Tie the two ends of a piece of curling ribbon to the wooden stick.
This is used for hanging.
Punch four holes into each roll. Turn the roll so that the edge of the aluminium foil is on the backside. Now punch two holes into top and bottom on both
sides.
Pull a piece of curling ribbon through the two upper holes from the inside to the outside. Then tie the ends to the wooden stick. The rolls hangs under the stick
vertically.
Apply a second roll next to the first one in the same way.
Pull a piece of curling ribbon through the two lower holes from the inside to the outside as well. Tie another roll to the first one.
Keep going until there are twelve rolls on each side.
Write the numbers from one to 24 onto the rolls with a gloss marker pen.
Insert little presents into the rolls. Cover the openings of the rolls with some cotton wool. It looks nice if the cotton wool juts out a
little.
If you like, you can decorate the calendar further
with some sweets or other Christmas items.
