What you need:
gold, white, green, and blue corrugated paper,
red card stock,
double-faced adhesive tape,
24 matchboxes,
scissors,
hole punch,
pencil,
optionally painting patterns,
gold cord
Draw a cloud onto white corrugated paper.
Cut out the cloud.
Stick the cloud onto gold corrugated paper.
Draw the letters for "Merry Christmas" onto red card stock and cut them out.
Stick the letters onto the cloud.
Punch 24 holes into the lower edge of the corrugated paper sheet.
Punch two holes with some distance into the upper edge.
You can pull a piece of cord through the holes for hanging.
Print the pattern and cut it out.
Cut twelve stars out of gold corrugated paper.
Cut twelve moons out of blue corrugated paper.
Cut twelve Christmas trees out of green corrugated paper.
And finally, cut twelve clouds out of white corrugated paper.
Stick each matchbox between two of the same motifs. In total there are 24 matchboxes.
So each motif appears six
times.
Make two small holes into the top of each motif.
Pull a piece of thread through the holes for hanging.
Fill the matchboxes with sweets or little presents.
Then hang them onto the large
cloud.
If you like, you can write the numbers from one to 24 onto the motifs.
But you can also open just any matchbox a day or open them from the left to the right.
