Modelling balloons are long, flexible balloons that you can twist into a variety of shapes. Twisting balloons needs some practice.
So don't give up early if it doesn't work out straight
away.
Note that also modelling balloons are not indestructible.
Long, sharp finger nails, heat, too much air in the balloon and rough modelling will let your balloon
burst.
You can buy modelling balloons in balloon shops, juggling shops, and often in department stores as well. Good balloon twisting depends also partly on the quality of the balloons. A specialised store in your vicinity may give you further advice.
What you need:
Modelling balloons,
Balloon pump
Inflating the balloon:
Before you begin to inflate your balloon, stretch the balloon several times.
Place the pump in position and inflate the balloon. Note: It is important that you leave some inches of the balloon uninflated because the pressurized air needs some space when you twist the balloon. If you inflate the balloon totally, it will burst when you twist it.
You will need some practice if you want to blow up the balloon with your own breath. You need to press in the air in gasps.
