What you need:
mosaic tiles,
wood glue,
simple wooden tray,
optionally joint grout
Put the mosaic tiles onto the tray.
Thus you'll know how to place the tiles, how many tiles you'll need,
and how large the gaps between the tiles have to
be.
Then stick the mosaic tiles onto the tray one by one.
Let the glue dry.
You can leave the tray like that.
But you can also grout the tray to make the surface more even.
Children should not work with joint
grout.
Mix the grout with water and apply it onto the tray.
Wipe away superfluous grout.
Let the tray dry (time mentioned on the packaging).
