Congratulation cards

Deutsch

What you need:

blank cards (with or without window),

card stock,

coloured paper,

pressed flowers,

photos,

scratch letters,

glitter stars,

hearts, or other shapes,

ribbon,

scissors,

glue,

felt

pens,

wax crayons,

etc.

Cut a blank card out of card stock.

The card needs to be about 0.25 in smaller than the envelope that you want to use so that it fits. But you can also use blank cards from a craft shop. You can buy blank cards with or without window and envelopes are often included as well.

Think about to whom you want to give the card and for what occasion?

Shall it be a colourful card for a child or perhaps a congratulation card for a wedding or birth? Choose the decoration according to the occasion.

Do you want to use a photo of the receiver of the card?

Or is it supposed to be a simple "Happy Birthday"-card?

What is the text on the card going to be?

Begin to decorate your card on the inside. Coloured paper on the inside looks nice. For a birthday card, you may want to use coloured or textured paper. For a wedding you may also use silk paper or real silk. Do not use liquid glue for that will shine through the paper when it is dry.

You can glue a photo, pressed flowers, or glitter shapes onto the background.

If you use textured paper, do not apply to many items.
Do you want to write something inside the card?

If you have a nice hand writing, you can write directly onto the card. But you can also write onto another piece of paper (optionally with the computer), cut the message out and glue it onto the card.

There is also the possibility to use scratch letters or letter stickers.

Decorate the front of the card in the same way.

For the congratulation message you can again

use scratch letters or stickers as well.

As an alternative,

there are also painting patterns for letters that you can use.

In addition to that, you can also glue ribbon, shapes,

or other decoration onto the front.
