Encaustic art 

What you need: 

old iron without steam holes or encaustic iron, 

encaustic art wax blocks in several colours, 

some protective covering (e.g. old sheet), 

paper, 

kitchen roll, 

newspapers

Cover the table with some old sheets. 

This protects the table from the heat of the iron. 

To protect the sheets against the wax, 

you can put some old newspapers on top.

Preheat the iron.

  
Take a sheet of paper and start.
Apply the wax onto the iron. The wax begins to melt at once. 

Now you can iron it onto the paper.

  
Try to use the iron in various ways. You can fully load the iron or use the point only. To create lines, only use the edge of the iron. 

Clean the iron with kitchen roll.

  
After some time, you'll be able to create beautiful landscapes.
