What you need:
Ingredients for the salt dough:
2/5 flour,
2/5 salt,
1/5 water,
other material: baking parchment,
poster paint,
brush,
clear coat
Mix the dough. Use a cup for measuring the ingredients.
Pour two cups of flour and two cups of salt into a bowl.
Add a cup of
water.
Knead the mixture evenly with your hands.
As the dough dries quickly, start shaping objects at once.
You can either roll out the dough on a table or shape models with your
hands.
Place your work on a piece of baking parchment.
Of course you can also work on the parchment already from the
beginning.
Dry the pieces in the oven at 150°.
The thicker the pieces are, the longer they need to be in the
oven.
Check the models now and then so that they do not start to burn. When the pieces have a brown colour, remove them from the oven. Let the objects cool down.
Now you can paint your work. Let the paint dry afterwards. Finally, apply a layer of clear coat. Now the pieces cannot absorb moisture and get mushy. Don't panic if the clear coat is white when you apply it. It will become clear when dry. When the clear coat is dry, your work is
finished.

Attention: Children and persons who did not see how the models were made might think that they are real biscuits. When they try unpainted models, all it will do is taste salty. However, painted and coated models will be harmful to health.
