What you need:
beads in several colours,
wire,
scissors,
glue,
stone
Cut off a piece of craft wire.
Slide the first bead onto the wire up to the middle.
String the next beads onto both ends of the wire at once.
The fist bead stops the other beads from falling from the
wire.
Simple branch:
String beads until the branch is long enough (e.g. for a palm).
Leave enough wire for the
trunk.
Double or multiple branch:
String some beads onto both ends of the wire at once.
Then string some beads onto one end of the wire only.
Pull the same end back through the beads the other way leaving out the last bead.
Pull the beads tight so that the branch is formed evenly.
Then string beads again onto both ends of the wire or create new branches.
Create several of these branches in the way described above.
Put two branches together where the beads start and twist the rest of the wire together to form the
trunk.
Add more branches and twist the wire together.
To create the root of the tree out of the lower ends of the wire, separate the wire strings and twist together only two or three at a time.
Choose a stone with a flat side and glue the tree on top.
